Today we went bowling. Lexi seemed to have fun. She was a little down because she wasn't hitting many pins. But after a quick lesson on "throwing" the ball and the marks in the lane, she started paying attention to what she was doing and her game improved. She bowled a 71. AJ didn't seem to have as much fun, but that probably had more to do with a night of very little sleep than with enjoying the game. He was also very upset that he wasn't knocking down all the pins. It didn't take him long to figure out that the more you knocked down, the better you did. He really wanted to be the winner and he DOES NOT like to lose. I will spare you the pictures of him crying on the floor of the alley. I'll leave that to your imagination. It was pretty funny though when the older man in the lane next to us threw a gutter ball and AJ said (very plainly) "that man not a winner mommy." I guess he should add sports commentator to his list of careers.
