Recently, my son's knowledge of Star Wars was questioned by a reputable Star Wars enthusiast. Behold the evidence of the depth of his Star Wars knowledge. I guess riding in a car for 3 hours on soccer days has paid off.

The similarities between the Jedi and Rebel symbols. I would venture to guess that the Rebel symbol evolved from the Jedi symbol, much like the evolution of the Clone Trooper to a Storm trooper.
