I've been looking through pictures again. While exploring our picture folders, it doesn't take long to come across pictures of our pets and the photographic evidence of good and bad behaviors. Of course, Sophie has generally been a great companion, but she has definitely had her moments.
Sophie right after we brought her home. This also documents her habit of chewing up leads.
This is one reason why I think it's so funny that Whisk irritates Sophie on a daily basis. The Karma train has pulled into the station and it's not leaving anytime soon.
Sophie at her finest - alert posture and pointing.
She NEVER misses an opportunity to snack.
Sophie at her most patient. We could not have asked for a more child friendly dog.
She always watched over the kids like they were her own pups. Even now she gets excited when they come home.
Sophie has never met a stranger. She always thinks everyone is here to see her and that everyone wants a 50 pound Vizsla in their laps.
Here Lexi is disciplining Sophie. She has put up with a lot in her 12.5 years.
Her favorite way to sleep.
She was also helpful in cleaning up the kids.
She didn't mind being a riding toy.
She still has an uncanny knack for photobombing my pictures.
Her love of taking out the trash is legendary. Matter of fact, she helped me with a bag of treats yesterday.
She also has a notorious sweet tooth. But it's nothing a box of Pop-tarts can't fix.
Although this post is about Sophie, I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the objects of her affection from her puppy days, Tiger and Socks.
Doesn't Socks look like he could be related to Whisk and Bob? He's fluffy like Bob but has Whisker's evil eyes.
On a side note, this afternoon AJ yelled at me that he didn't want to go to football. All he wanted to do was "stay home and have a nice relaxing evening". Didn't I know he was tired after a "long day" of school? Guess he wasn't being dramatic.
